The Blacktop Grill Food Truck moves out of downtown Tucson

Tucson, Arizona

The Blacktop Grill known for “gourmet comfort food”, award winning eats and “breaking diets since 2014” is moving out of the 4th avenue location they have been a part of for the past 12 months. Owner Gabe Ceniceros is taking a different direction. “We’ve decided to move our food truck and focus on large events, weddings and caterings” Ceniceros explains. Although he acknowledges there has been lots of love and support from the downtown crowd and the 4th avenue regulars, this is the right move for The Blacktop Grill at this time.

The historic 4th ave Coronado Hotel located on the corner of 4th ave and 9th street once housed the Dillinger Brewing Company and is now home to Traxide Taproom. Ceniceros wishes the new owners David & Johnna Meek “nothing but love and success” and is looking forward to seeing the amazing things they do with their space. “It’s such a great corner.”

Moving into 2024 you can expect to see the Blacktop Grill Food Trucks on the road more. You can expect to see a larger food truck menu, more menu options and packages. The Blacktop Grill also has a brick & mortar location in Northwest Tucson, located at 8300 N. Thornydale rd. suite 120. The restaurant offers a full menu including desserts, salads, sandwiches, quesadillas and of course award winning hot dogs.
